Private Investigator Licensing Fees

In order to trade under the name of Seagal Investigations Group and receive the support, training, associated memberships, recognition and assistance to allow you to operate autonomously we have implemented a simple set of fees, I think you will agree they are very favorable compared to any alternative business arrangement you may find and a small consideration for what you will receive in return.

The fee covers all costs that are necessary for you to begin trading as a private investigator from day one. All that is required from you is a computer, some basic camera equipment, mobile phone, land line (optional to begin with) and a vehicle to get around in.

 

The initial set up fee will include the following:

• Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Advanced Private Investigation Course Via API
• ABI or WAPI Membership application & fees for one year
• FSB Membership fees and set up for one year
• One years Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Data Protection Act registration and fees for one year
• Endless lists of resources
• Dedicated Telephone and Fax numbers
• Manual
• 24/7 support and assistance
• Dedicated web page including hosting and email
• On-line marketing & support
• Marketing and SEO Google Ad words campaign for 1 month
• Press Releases and local media advertising for 1 month

There are 3 levels of licensing (franchise) to choose from

Area License:
Initial cost: £4,995,00 - (based on an "area" or town, such as Bristol, Reading etc) Ideal for an agent who wishes to start of at a moderate pace, or one who has little experience or background knowledge. Build your agency and progress to a higher level at a later date.

Regional License: (Preferred Choice)
Initial cost: £8,995.00 - (Based on a "Region" or county such as Avon, Berkshire etc) You will have responsibility for an entire county and benefit from a greater potential client base. Ideal for agents who have a background knowledge or previously obtained skills and experience in a similar industry/profession or business.

Associate License*:
Initial cost: £1,995.00 - (Ideal for existing agencies who wish to convert to SIG and reap the benefits of a nationwide group) Ideal for existing agencies that need assistance and support from a nationwide group.

The fees include all of the above* and your SIG license in order to trade and operate as Seagal Investigations Group, all you need is a laptop/PC, car, some basic equipment, such as camera, video camera, and mobile phone etc

*Associate Package only provides support and materials but does not include membership fees to FSB, ABI or the BTEC L3 Advanced PI Course as it assumed that the agency will already have this in place. As an associate you will be expected to change your branding to SIG. If you do not have the BTEC Diploma or relevant memberships you will be required to apply for the "starter agency" license

Ongoing administration fees are as follows:

An ongoing administration fee of 5% per month is payable to SIG for the first 6 months, thereafter a set percentage of 10% becomes payable.

Here's an example:
If you averaged a turnover of £2,000.00 + per month within your first 6 months, then you would pay SIG a fee of 5% of the turnover for that month = £100.00.

You, the agent receive an income of £1,900.00 (95%)

After the first 6 months (training period) all you will be expected to pay is a fixed percentage fee of 10% per month as royalty payment, this is inclusive of ongoing training and support. By this time you should be well on your way to producing a monthly income of £2,000.00 - £4,000.00

Any work assignments that may be provided to you on an Agent to Agent basis from Seagal Investigations Limited will be paid in accordance with the industries inter-agencies standard rates.

Why do we charge an administration fee?
If you have come this far we assume you're an intelligent sole, our admin fees will cover costs and on-going training, such as manual updates, constant support via email, phone etc, web hosting and email support, marketing support and campaigns, tips, tricks and training, the list goes on and on. So, it is evident from this why we charge an ongoing fee, which, in comparison to managing your own business and having to fend for yourself, is a small amount in comparison.

How much can I earn?

Earn an average of £4,000 per month

Private Investigators enjoy probably one of the most rewarding careers there are, with low overheads and unlimited client potential the profit ratio is extremely favorable

For example; most of the work you will carry out will rely entirely on your skills, knowledge and resources, you may use your vehicle to get from A to B and of course a small amount of office stationary and maybe some telephone call costs. With the average hourly rate being around £30 - 50 per hour you can see how profit rich your assignments will become.

Because you will be receiving support and guidance all the way from the moment you join us we will ensure you get off to a good start. You will be expected to earn £2,000 per month minimum in your first few months, once you have got the hang of it and you're kited out with everything you need you can expect to earn £4,000 plus per month.

 

Do I need to have qualifications?

Ensuring you get the best possible start begins here. You will undergo a BTEC Level 3 distance learning course in Advanced Private Investigation. This will be provided by the Academy of professional Investigation (API) and on successful completion it will entitle you to use the style and title of "Dip API".

The course will distinguish you as a professional, thus demonstrating to your potential clients that you are a true dedicated professional Private Investigator

You do not need any previous qualifications, though it is essential that you have a good standard of literacy and english skills in order to complete the course and indeed to operate as a Private Investigator.

The course can be taken in your own time but typically if you dedicated a number of hours per week to completing the course you could complete it in under 6 weeks.

The course is provided as part of the license costs and is essential in our mission to provide clients with competent and professional agents. We feel the course offers all the information you need to successfully start your career and also provide a constant reference guide for future use.

How will invoicing be managed?

All invoices will be managed by SIG Head Office. You, the agent will update the online database and inform SIG of the agreed fees proposed to the client. Once the work is complete SIG invoice the client.

The agent then sends SIG an invoice for their fees less the admin fees. The license fee is collected monthly.

SIG receive payment from client and pay's the agent who will trade as for example: "John Smith t/a SIG Dorset"

 

Do I have to pay a fee?

Yes, in order to receive the highest levels of support and ongoing commitment, a monthly license fee is applicable. In addition we charge a small percentage depending on your turnover to contribute to administration fess, such as invoicing, marketing, web hosting and so on.

Can I pay the initial fee in installments?

If for any reason you are finding it a struggle to pay the initial fee in full please let us know and we can discuss with you if there are options available to pay in installments or receive funding.
